THE FIRST pieces of the puzzle that makes up the 2026 First Focus Radical Cup Australia calendar have been locked in place.
Four of the five rounds for the new season have been confirmed, including a return to the Repco Supercars Championship calendar at the 2026 Perth Super440 event at Wanneroo Raceway.
Radical competed at the Perth event in 2022 and 2024 with strong fields and will return next year with more of the same, thanks in part to the strong WA-based presence of Radical entries from local team, Arise Racing - who are based at the track.
The Perth event will be the third event of a five-round calendar that commences on May 1-3 with the Australian Superbike Championship at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park in South Australia.
The Supercars event in Perth will split a pair of appearances on the Shannons SpeedSeries calendar; first at Queensland Raceway on June 12-14, and later in the year at Sydney Motorsport Park on 18-20 September.
The date and location of the fifth round will be confirmed in due course.
"It's been a process to piece together our 2026 calendar but we are pleased with where we have ended up," First Focus Radical Cup Australia Category Manager Charise Bristow said.
"Splitting our calendar between the Australian Superbike Championship and the Shannons SpeedSeries offers the best balance of dates, fantastic circuits and ensuring the bang-for-buck value is there for our competitors.
"It's also great to return to the Supercars in Perth. Our track record at that event in providing strong fields and good racing has been very good in the past and I'm sure 2026 will be no different. Competing at a Supercars round is always a good boost for our competitors."
2026 will mark the fifth season of the First Focus Radical Cup Australia Series in its current form, with the category having forged a strong record of competitive grids, excellent racing and a mix between finding young racing talent and offering a professional place to race for Pro-Am style racers in exciting, high performance Sports Cars.
West Aussie young-gun Cooper Cutts narrowly edged out defending champion Peter Paddon to claim the 2025 championship, which finished at The Bend in September this year.
